The Ingleside Inn is Palm Springs' smallest full-service hotel. Fashioned from one of the desert's most dramatic estates and opened as a hotel in 1935, it has undergone a recent refurbishment to contemporize accommodations while keeping its original charm intact. Oak parquet flooring and antiques are among the uniquefurnishings of each elegant European-style guest room, all of which feature steam shower and whirlpool bath. The suites have a seating area with wood-burning fireplace and private patio. Mountain views are also available. The morning newspaper and a breakfast order placed the night before are delivered by the European trained room-service staff.

The casually elegant Melvyn's Restaurant, located on the premises, is Palm Springs' most acclaimed night spot, and boasts cuisine described as beyond comparison. Favored selections from the dinner menu are an appetizer of Fried Brie with Jalapeno Jelly, an entree of Veal Ingleside, and a luscious dessert of Creme Brulee. An outstanding wine cellar offers a selection of fine wines to complement every meal. Another of the enjoyable aspects of Melvyn's is simply people watching, to see which celebrities show up. The Melvyn's lounge features a dance floor and a piano bar for nightly entertainment.
