Constructed in the 1860’s, the White Barn Inn has offered superb hospitality and an excellent table for boarders since the days of the civil war. It has operated as the White Barn Inn since 1973.
The White Barn Inn is a charming country inn offering luxurious accommodations year-round and award-winning gourmet dining. The Inn features several room types, a pool, gardens and a prime location in the heart of Kennebunkport, Maine. The 26-room inn is a member of Relais & Chateaux.
Located in Kennebunkport, Maine, the White Barn Inn is an 80-minute drive from downtown Boston and Logan International Airport. The Inn is 25 miles south of Portland, Maine, where there is an International airport. The Inn is walking distance to the center of Kennebunkport where there is a variety of shopping, dining and sights.
The 26 guest accommodations enjoy a careful selection of coordinated fabrics and wall coverings throughout. Features vary by room type. Several have fireplaces. Every guestroom is appointed with fresh flowers and fruit, plush terry cloth robes, TV & CD system, voice mail, and Molton Brown toiletries.
Launched in the summer of 2006, and already the recipient of a Mobil 4-star Spa rating for two years in a row, the White Barn Inn is now home to a luxurious full service spa. Created exclusively for guests of the inn, the new spa assures spot-on relaxation in the privacy of the inn without the usual bothers of visiting a remote spa.
Guests enjoy complimentary country continental breakfast and newspapers, afternoon tea, port and brandy, turndown service, use of a heated pool, public-area fireplaces, lending library, touring bicycles, canoes and beach chairs. Daily continental breakfast is available.
The White Barn Inn Restaurant is New England's premiere AAA Five Diamond dining establishment. It is also a Relais Gourmand, one of only 15 in the United States. Director of Operations and Executive Chef Jonathan Cartwright combines contemporary New England cuisine with exemplary service to create an elegant yet relaxing dining atmosphere. Located adjacent to the Inn, the 120-seat restaurant features a four-course prix fixe menu. Priced at $95 per person, not including beverage, tax or gratuity, the menu is offered nightly. Reservations are required; the dress code calls for jackets and optional tie for gentlemen. |
