All Carneros Inn accommodations are in individual cottages, set amidst landscaped courtyards. The roomy guest cottages combine country comfort with all contemporary conveniences. Natural light washes into the cottages and over the cherry-wood floors from a dozen old-fashioned windows. Real wood-burning fireplaces in stone hearths and large-screen flat-panel televisions and DVD players, ideal for leisurely movie-viewing after a strenuous day of wine-tasting.
Outside the pairs of French doors, each cottage has a private patio and garden. Gas-fired patio heaters make these private garden spaces perfect for outdoor entertaining, even on cool fall nights. And, if staying in touch with the world outside is important, the leather-top desk, front porch and back patio are all served with Ethernet ports connected to the Inn's high-speed data network. The spacious bathroom is a lavish retreat unto itself, flooded with natural light, and featuring fine limestone, tile, and heated slate floors. In most rooms, a soaking tub is nestled under a tub-length, garden-side casement window. Or, guests can choose between showering inside in a generously large tile and glass enclosure or stepping outside for a romantic alfresco shower. |
