Tanque Verde Ranch is one of America's old time cattle and guest ranches. Today's resort quality Ranch is recognized as one of the last luxurious outposts of the Old West! This historic ranch, founded in 1868, is located on 640 spectacular acres in the lush desert foothills of the Rincon Mountains, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park and Coronado National Forest. Miles of scenic horseback riding and hiking trails offer ranch guests the opportunity to explore the rugged and unique Sonoran desert of the Old West. While secluded and surrounded by the natural desert, the ranch is just minutes from all that Tucson has to offer in the way of shopping and sightseeing!

The present-day lobby recreates the ambience of the Old West with its high adobe walls, beam ceiling and saguaro rib struts. The 74 authentically decorated rooms & suites are fully air-conditioned and offer beautiful desert and mountain views. Most rooms are spacious and have adobe fireplaces and outside private patios. Larger suites and smaller, cozier rooms are also available. The rooms are scattered over a lovely hillside, capitalizing on the spectacular views, and offering plenty of peace and quiet at the end of a busy day. The flavor of the region is evident in the Main Dining Room where one can savor a breakfast of French Toast with prickly pear cactus jelly or a dinner of mesquite charred duck a l’orange.

Horseback opportunities abound at Tanque Verde, where rides lead out into the desert, through spectacular canyons, along historic cattle trails or high up into the mountains. Riding lessons are included as well. This historic ranch features five tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, saunas, fitness center, a lake for fishing and other activities such as guided hiking, mountain biking and nature walks that allow you to enjoy that famous Arizona sun! For an additional fee, championship golf is available nearby and soothing massages, body treatments, manicures and pedicures may be enjoyed in the luxurious La Sonora Spa!
Three delicious meals a day and all of the scheduled ranch activities are included in the nightly rates! Library, Laundry services (fee), Baby sitting (fee), Care hire (fee), Gift shop open daily. Fully supervised children’s program for kids ages 4-11.
