Located near Guerneville, California in Sonoma County's Russian River Valley, Applewood Inn, Restaurant & Spa is on a knoll in the shelter of towering redwoods, this romantic, wine country inn has two distinct types of accommodations. Those in the original Belden House, where cozy chairs around a river-rock fireplace encourage loitering in the lounge area, are comfortable but modest in scale. The 10 rooms in the newer buildings are larger and airier, decorated in sage green and terra-cotta tones that recall a Mediterranean villa.
Each guest room in this luxury country inn boasts fine Italian linens & european down comforters, imported spa therapy toiletries, plush monogrammed robes and hair dryers. Cable televisions, phones, CD players/clock radios and Wi-Fi internet access allow our guests to keep in touch with the world outside of Applewood.

Applewood is blessed to have as neighbors the 75+ wineries that comprise the Russian River Wine Road, winding from the Pacific Ocean and the redwoods of the Russian River Valley to the benchlands of Dry Creek Valley and the rolling hills of the Alexander Valley. An area full of history, grapes have been grown and wine has been made in northwest Sonoma County for over 130 years.
