Set in a 90-acre vineyard, the warm glow of terra cotta walls and tile roofs evoke the mood of southern France, while the California mission detailing reminds you of the Sonoma County wine-making community, redwood forests, and Pacific beaches just minutes away.
The European-style Vintners Inn was patterned after a small village in Provence, with four guest buildings encircling the courtyard fountain plaza. Our newly remodeled rooms are spacious, oversized Provensal French furnishings and fluffly down comforters, featherbeds and pillows enhance your comfort. Rooms feature balconies or patios and some are furnished with wood-burning fireplaces and high beamed ceilings; the bathroom features an oversized oval tub - suites feature jacuzzi tubs and separate showers. The main building leads to tile walkways, a trellis-covered sun deck jacuzzi spa and fitness room. Conference rooms also open to the courtyard and beatifully landscaped areas. The friendly and well-trained staff is ready to assist in the success of your meetings or seminars.
John Ash & Co. is the award-winning and nationally acclaimed restaurant at the Inn, which epitomizes wine-country dining at its best. Chef Jeffrey Madura's commitment to incorporating all that is fresh and wonderful from Sonoma County's wealth of produce, meats, poultry, and seafood is evident in his ever-changing menu. Begin your meal with Crab Cakes or a Warmed Red Cabbage Salad with Laura Chenel's goat cheese, followed by a main entree of Smoked and Grilled Rack of Lamb on a bed of artichoke risotto. Sonoma Chocolate "Stonehenge" finishes your dinner while you savor another Sonoma county wine, perhaps one which began life on the Sauvignon Blanc vines just off your patio.
Spend your day in the Russian River resort area and wind your way to the seal beaches at the coast. Start with an early morning hot-air balloon ride, go antiquing in Sebastopol, or golf one of the local courses. Visit the sprawling orchards and fields by bike, hike the redwood forests, or go boating on Lake Sonoma. You'll be back to Sonoma County and Vintners Inn.
