Since the Revolutionary War, the Beekman Arms has served as the center of graciousness and hospitality in the Hudson Valley. Ten buildings now comprise this Inn, which has been in continuous operation longer than any other hotel in the United States. The Main Inn was completely remodeled and refurbished in 1995.

Each of the 67 rooms and suites is uniquely decorated and all offer modern private baths, televisions, and air-conditioning. Rooms in the Beekman Arms continue the colonial theme. The Delamater Inn is located just a few doors away from the original building. This property is a combination of old and new buildings including the Delamater House, an historic Victorian Gothic Home. Many of the rooms feature wood-burning or gas fireplaces.

Wide plank floors, overhead beams and huge stone hearth beckon guests as they enter the lobby of the "Beek" recalling a simpler and gentler way of life.

Colonial styling, antiques and a well-kept greenhouse in the new Traphagen Restaurant add to the ambiance. American country fare such as Camembert Crisp with Apple Chutney, Crab meat stuffed Brook Trout with Goat Cheese Polenta, and Creme Brulee has earned a rating of "excellent" by the New York Times.

This is a Village Inn set in a walking village with a variety of boutiques, antique shops and nearby places to visit including the FDR Home and Library, the Culinary Institute of America and many Hudson River estates such as Montgomery Place, Olana, and the Vanderbilt Mansion.
