Originally built in 1892 by gold miner and timber owner John Cogswell, completely renovated and opened up as a city inn in 1993.
Elegant, light guest rooms, beautifully appointed and sporting designer fabrics and wallpapers, luxury bedding, and all the modern amenities you would expect in a fine European Hotel: desk, telephone, TV with VCR or DVD player, wireless high speed internet, CD players, just to name a few. Our luxury suites feature: fireplace, Jacuzzi tub and four-poster bed.
The Campbell House Dining Room is open for breakfast, dinner and room service. Breakfast starts with scones and locally fresh roasted coffee, we always have our mini-Belgium waffles, oatmeal, Inn-made granola and feature a Breakfast special each day. Our dinners are simple and exclusive to our guests and their guests. Offering only a couple of specials each evening prepared with locally grown produce, the freshest cuts of meats, poultry or fish; beautifully orchestrated together by our Chef. All are served with fresh vegetables and sprigs of herbs and edible flowers, many grown in the Inn's own gardens.
The Campbell House is also ideal for a meeting, retreat, reunion or wedding. The Inns beautiful gardens in adjacent to the parlor, library & dining rooms (that can also be combined into one room) make an ideal setting for an elegant event.
The Inn beckons you to relax in front of a crackling fireplace with a glass of wine, walk the gardens, hike the adjacent butte, stroll to boutique shops, sample the delicacies of world class restaurants, rent a bike and tryout over 10 miles of riverside bicycle paths, 8 golf courses within 30 minutes, hire a river guide, visit the breathtaking Oregon Coast only one hour away, or whatever your desire is – it is all within your reach at The Campbell House, A City Inn.
