Fairy-Tale Weddings

A luxurious but intimate country inn modeled after an actual French Manor on 45 private acres that command a sweeping view of the Pocono Mountains. Let the whimsical nature of The French Manor entrance you. This stone chateau is an attraction in itself with imported Spanish slate roofs, cypress interior, a Romanesque-arched entryway and impressive stone fireplaces. Find respite in the shade of its lush grounds or inside its beautiful guest rooms and suites. Honored with AAA four-diamond ratings in both Accommodations and Restaurant, its gourmet cuisine, uncompromising hospitality and amazing views ensure your every wish will be fulfilled!

Romance comes to mind first when thinking of The French Manor. Each of its six spacious rooms and nine private suites is the epitome of refined elegance and intimate luxury. There are four rooms and one two-story suite in the French Manor itself, another two rooms and two suites in the close-by stone Carriage House, and six newly constructed La Maisonneuve Suites situated on the crest of Huckleberry Mountain. The well-appointed rooms carry such romantic names as "Versailles," "Monte Carlo," and "Florence."

The treasure of the French Manor is the "Turret Suite." This very private two-floor suite is in the same wing as the "Monte Carlo" and "Venice" rooms. The "Turret" features a light and airy living room with a French country look. The pecky cypress walls were put there at Joseph Hirshhorn's request and his upstairs study has now been converted into a dazzling bedroom featuring a king-size cannonball bed. The views from the turret windows that surround the bed are breathtaking no matter what time of year.

The La Maisonneuve Suites have been newly constructed but meticulously designed to mirror the style of the original Manor House architecture. Six suites, each individually decorated, boast a two-person Jacuzzi, fireplace, Cable TV and VCR, Queen or King size bed and a private balcony, which takes full advantage of the breathtaking views. Each Suite, named after various cities in France such as Nice, Bordeaux, Marsielles and Calais, are decorated to provide the ultimate sense of comfort and luxury while providing all the amenities that today’s travelers require.

The romance of the French Manor begins with Ron and Mary Kay, and no one knows better how to pamper their guests. A fresh-cut rose, a bottle of sherry and a cheese and fruit tray greet guests in each of the rooms. There are plush terrycloth robes as well and triple-sheeting on all the beds for extra comfort. There is an afternoon tea every day with sweets and savories. One may enjoy them in the cozy lounge (featuring a TV and a large selection of books) or out on the stone veranda with its spectacular views of the Poconos. There is even a turn down service at night with fresh towels and a tempting piece of Godiva chocolate.
Beautifully landscaped grounds and serene setting, hiking trails, library of books & magazines, 4-diamond Restaurant with pianist on the weekends, cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, tobogganing, automatic Turn-Down service with Godiva chocolates, & more.
The French Manor is centrally located in the Pocono Mountains – convenient to many recreational facilities such as Bushkill Falls, Horseback Riding, Promised Land and Tobyhanna State Parks, wonderful antiquing and many outlet stores.
