2001 AAA Five-Diamond Award recipient and member of Relais & Chateaux, The Inn at National Hall invites you to journey into the rich heritage of yesteryear. Décor at the Inn is a delightful mix of whimsy and history. The unique restoration of this circa 1873 Italianate structure includes the skilled hand stenciling of gifted artisans from throughout the area. Each public room, hallway, and chamber itself is a unique work of art, stenciled thematically from the wonders of nature and fantasies of fairy tale. Handcrafted arched ceilings and cherry moldings add to the warmth and intimacy of the Inn's fine interior.
Each guestroom is individually designed, furnished with antiques, original art, lavish fabrics, and king or queen canopy beds. Some have 25' coffered ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and trompe l'oeil decorated walls, and hand stenciling. Baths have limestone counters, marble shower, oversize bathtub, illuminated magnifying wall mirror and an electric towel warmer. All rooms feature cable television, VCR, direct dial telephones, and refrigeration. An in-room fax machine is accessible at any time.
The Inn is located in the heart of the National Hall Historic District on the Saugatuck River shoreline in Westport. Referred to by some as "Beverly Hills East," Westport offers visitors an abundance of stimulating cultural and recreational activities. Excellent shops, antique stores, restaurants, galleries and the Westport Playhouse provide charm to this creative community by the sea. |
