The Swag Country Inn is a place for rest, rejuvenation, discovery, and creation. With wonderful panoramic views, the Inn is located just outside Waynesville, North Carolina. Built out of century-old hand hewn logs and located atop a 5,000-foot mountain, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just a step beyond its backyard. Originally designed as a family and spiritual retreat, this refuge is an award-winning (Mobil 4 Star, Andrew Harper Hideaway Report, Johansens, Select Registry, & PAII) country inn surrounded by 250 acres. It offers luxurious rooms, wonderful food, interesting conversation, and a range of remarkable experiences.

Guest rooms and private cabins are all individually decorated with handmade quilts, woven rugs, early American rustic antiques, and original artwork. Many rooms feature private balconies, fireplaces, and steam showers. The Cabin, Two Story, and Woodshed are separate buildings that include sitting rooms and private porches--excellent for romantic getaways and family reunions.

Early risers will be glad to know that each room is equipped with its own coffee maker, bean grinder, and an assortment of coffees and teas. Rooms also include safes to store valuables and a small refrigerator for keeping refreshments cold. Guests can relax in a redwood sauna, laze in a hammock built for two, eat a picnic lunch, or just sit and think in one of five hideaways scattered throughout the property. They can sit on the porch and watch hummingbirds, play croquet or racquetball, or enjoy special events like hands-on workshops or sessions led by renowned authors and naturalists.

Meals at The Swag are a delectable experience. The Inn offers three full meals per day plus delicious snacks. Breakfast specialties include cider-simmered oatmeal, fragrant breads, fresh juices and an ever-changing variety of pancakes, waffles, and pastries. At dinner, the mood is elegant yet relaxed. The delicious cuisine is served with flair in the candlelit dining room. A meal might include Salmon Halibut Potato Napoleon with Ginger Apple Reduction Sauce and Sevruga Caviar, or Pan-seared Duck Breast with dried Cherry Sauce, Sweet Potatoes, and Fruit.

Guests will leave the Swag Country Inn refreshed, rejuvenated and eager to return.
