The Knickerbocker Chicago is located in the most fashionable, charming and historic section of Chicago's Gold Coast called Streeterville. It has one of the most elegant lobbies in Chicago with an atmosphere enhanced by rich oak woodwork, polished brass, soft velvet and oriental carpets. In a former lifetime the hotel served as the Chicago Playboy Club. The Presidential Suite was once occupied by Mr. Hefner himself!
The guestrooms are decorated in period furnishings with a graceful balance of European charm and contemporary convenience. You may choose from a variety of accommodations that offer canopy beds, double bath areas, wet bars and refrigerators.
The Prince of Wales dining room presents an imaginative menu featuring a blend of American entrees with a heartland flair, as well as tried and true classics. Grilled Pacific Salmon and Rack of Lamb are among the favorite entrees here. There is also a very reasonably priced Prix Fixe Menu which includes choice of appetizer, salad, choice of entree and dessert tray. Quite a deal for a dinner.
The Walton Place Cafe offers casual dining all day. The menu includes everything from lighter fare to the popular Chicago-style sandwiches. For cocktails and entertainment, The Limehouse Pub is just off the main lobby. |
