Two Meeting Street exudes the gentility of a bygone era and rightly so as it was built in 1890 with the $75,000 that George Walton Williams, a highly successful merchant, gifted his daughter Martha upon her betrothal to Waring P. Carrington, a respected Charleston jeweler. Through his business Mr. Carrington had befriended Louis Comfort Tiffany. In celebration of the Carrington’s fifth wedding anniversary Mr. Tiffany presented to Martha a pair of stained glass windows featuring magnolia blossoms and blue iris.
Two Meeting Street Inn’s nine distinctive guestrooms provide the perfect setting for a romantic celebration or a tranquil retreat from everyday life.
