From the moment you step into this historic Victorian country house, you are surrounded by gracious elegance and warm hospitality befitting Governor's Stickney's home. The Governor's Inn is a late 19th century country home located on the Ludlow village green just one mile from Okemo Mountain. Innkeepers Jim and Cathy Kubec welcome you to a haven for enjoying life's pleasures and a base for exploring Vermont.

Awake to a bountiful breakfast - perhaps apple cinnamon pancakes or our Governor's souffle - served on antique china, with crystal, and silver. Tea lovers delight in our extensive tea menu, featuring over 40 different blends.

Chat with the innkeepers and other guests in one of the inn's common rooms, or enjoy the privacy of your own room, where you can watch TV or enjoy the whirlpool tub. Many guest rooms have spectacular views of nearby Okemo Mountain.

Take advantage of our "concierge service" by letting your innkeepers assist you with reservations, directions, and suggestions for your visit to the area. Then, set out for the day, perhaps with a Vermont country picnic prepared by the inn's chef. Village shops and restaurants are within walking distance.

Enjoy afternoon tea, sweets and tea sandwiches served in the parlor, which features extraordinary slate fireplaces, polished woodwork, and oriental rugs. The inn has a lounge with wine and beer available. Retire to your luxurious bed chamber, warmed by a gas fireplace in the winter (or comfortably air conditioned in warm weather).

Here you will find outstanding food; comfortable, inviting, and well-appointed guest rooms; gracious surroundings; excellent service and generous hospitality.
TV lounge; Cable TV with DVD/VHS in most rooms; Video/DVD lending library; Gas fireplaces (most rooms); Air conditioned; Luxurious robes; Thermo Masseur whirlpool tubs (some rooms); Afternoon Tea, Cooking Seminars, Innkeeping Classes
Golf, hiking, arts and crafts school, professional summer theater, country stores, antique stores, art galleries, downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, Green Mountain National Forest, Weston Priory, Plymouth Notch Historical Site
