Secluded and intimate, Hacienda del Cerezo is a "hideaway" guest ranch, bordering the desert solitude of 150,000 acres of Federal and Native American land, yet only 20 minutes from the world-renowned art and cultural center of Santa Fe. The ten guest suites provide modern luxury within an architecturally stunning framework of hand-carved beams and massive doors, polished Saltillo-tile floors and kiva fireplaces burning with the aroma of native pinon.
Each suite has its own private enclosed patio, fireplace and sitting area, king bed, and radiant heating. Oversize baths have huge Jacuzzi tubs, stone counters with double sinks, separate showers, water closets and bidets, and their own heating zone for maximum comfort. Magical details abound, with each suite's separate southwestern motif, such as "Sol" (sun), or "Pottery," carved into ceiling beams, hand-painted on tile, and etched on glass shower doors. Arranged around a walled courtyard planted with native shrubs and fruit trees, all suites have views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains or the Jemez Mountains.
Strains of classical guitar reverberate from the Great Room's 100-year-old ceiling beams as guests enjoy a candle-lit dinner that might include: seared Ahi tuna Hoisin with Wasabi guacamole and a Cilantro-infused oil; or a roasted rack of Australian lamb with noisette of Muscovy duck breast; prepared under the direction of a master chef.
