A scenic two hour drive from Louisville Kentucky, St. Louis Missouri,under three hour drive from Nashville Tennessee, and Indianapolis Indiana.
The town of New Harmony preserves a past dating back to 1814, when German-speaking settlers homesteaded the community. A cluster of contemporary luxury lodgings, The New Harmony Inn was designed in the "traditional style" by Evans Woolen to harmonize with the architecture of one of American's most significant historic districts.
Eighteen of the ninety guest rooms have gas-burning fireplaces. A variety of guest rooms are available with a balcony, walk out patio, lake view, flat screen TV, or spiral staircase leading to a sleeping loft.
In addition, four guest houses are available ranging from the one bedroom 1840's Garden House to the gem of the property - the four bedroom Orchard House.
One of our many recreational opportunities is the indoor pool which is open year-round for your enjoyment. We also offer a fully-equipped fitness center, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis courts,outdoor game area, putting green, complimentary bicycles, historic walking tours, walking trails, as well as abundant shopping.
The Red Geranium Restaurant offers a daily selection of fresh seasonal American Cuisine, including Indiana goat cheese, yogurt, and locally grown produce.
A five-course menu with appropriate wine pairings changes with the season. The "Red" offers a warm, intimate atmosphere and was voted the most romantic restaurant in the region. The restaurant is open daily for dinner.
The Grapevine Bar offers a fabulous selection of fine wines by the glass, classic cocktails, single malt scotches and several selected beers on tap.
Always a popular meeting site, the New Harmony Inn also has a conference center. The center has five meeting rooms with a capacity of 10 to 300 people and has state of the art audio visual equipment and wireless internet to meet the needs for conferences, symposiums and is especially popular for weddings, retreats and reunions. A small chapel is also available for meditation.
