Fine Food, Mountain Views, Great Times and Personalized Service!

Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places Rated one of 6 choice lodgings in the Adirondacks by National Geographic Traveler Voted "Best B&B" in 2004 & 1999 by the Adirondack Daily Enterprise.
Awarded "Best Weekend Escape", by Bed & Breakfast Journal.

Once visited by Mark Twain and originally owned by the famous poet Thomas Bailey Aldrich (1881-1890 editor of Atlantic Monthly). The Porcupine is a unique Inn located on picturesque Park Avenue with mountain views, year round outdoor hot tub, billiard lounge and wine & beer bar. So come curl up by one of our many fireplaces with a book or a delicious glass of wine and enjoy our weekend happy hour with complimentary Hor's d'oeuvres before dinner.

The Lodge is open year-round for guests to enjoy the winter wonder land of the mountains as well as the warm summer breeze that rolls off the tepid lakes.

The estate was constructed and designed in the traditional Adirondack style making your stay in the High Peaks an unforgettable one.

Summer activities include, boating, hiking, fishing, Lake Placid horse show, craft and antique fairs, farmers' markets, bobsled and luge rides, horse back riding and more...

Winter activities comprise snow-shoeing, cross-country and downhill skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, sleigh rides, Olympic bobsled and luge on the 1930 track, dog sled rides on Mirror lake, tubing and tobogganing (lots of fun for little effort). Most enjoy partaking in a few outdoor activities followed by a sumptuous dinner at one of the finer restaurants near by or just curling up with a book, a game, or cards and a glass of wine in front of one of our six fireplaces.
