The hotel has deep historic roots and incorporates some of Santa Fe’s most celebrated landmarks. The 19th century Staab House stands at the core of the lobby and restaurant complex, a testament to the fashionable Santa Fe in the 1880s. Some say that the lady of the house, Julia Staab loved this home so much that she has yet to leave.
There are 157 newly refurbished rooms and suites characteristic of the early adobe art colony that originally occupied the site. The extensive La Posada art program showcases sculpture, paintings and photographs throughout the grounds and public spaces. Four suites are appointed with original works of art from some of Santa Fe’s most prestigious art galleries. Featured in Architectural Digest, the unique rooms reflect the colors and charm of the Southwest with traditional viga and latilla ceilings, many with Kiva fireplaces and shady patios. There are several dining options including breakfast, lunch and dinner in our AAA Four-Diamond restaurant, Fuego, and on the patio during the warmer weather. Tapas and lighter fare are available in the Staab House along with jazz three nights a week. The Avanyu Poolside Grill offers a backyard cookout menu and drinks during the summer. Full menu room service is also available.
In the center of the resort is the Avanyu® Spa. The extensive menu offers specialized signature body treatments, many that feature indigenous ingredients. Facilities include the Fitness Center, heated outdoor pool, whirlpool, private steam rooms and locker rooms.
