One might think that this 1927 landmark building, situated on a peaceful tree lined street is in the heart of Paris. The Lowell Hotel, however, is centrally located on Manhattan's Upper East Side, between Madison and Park Avenues, steps away from Manhattan's famous museums and New York City's world-renowned Madison and Fifth Avenue boutiques and shops. From the architecture to the service, this hotel reflects discreet aristocratic and understated European elegance. A liveried doorman ushers the guest to an Empire Style reception desk with no registration lines. The "hotel intime" atmosphere is complete with lobby designed by Dalmar Tift III which combines Art Deco touches, French Empire Style furniture with lustrous golden scalamandres, chiaroscuro walls and a rare desk console signed by Edgar Brandt. The Lobby is contiguous to the famous Post House Restaurant, the entrance of which is separated by an original 1920's door. Among the many thoughtful touches are complimentary beverages upon arrival, Fiji water at turndown and a selection of Bulgari amenities. Most suites have wood-burning fireplaces, some have terraces, and almost all have fully equipped kitchens.
Our multilingual Les Clefs d'Or concierges are at your service for anything you need to make your stay at the Lowell perfect. Please call or e-mail us for assistance with restaurant suggestions and reservations, tickets to cultural and sporting events, transportation and any special requests you might have. Whether you need tickets to the hottest Broadway show, a massage in the comfort of your room or the closing time of a museum, our concierge can help.
Gracious warmth and style envelopes The Pembroke Room at The Lowell, our breakfast, brunch and tea room. Nestled in a serene setting on the second floor, The Pembroke Room is one of New York City's best kept secrets and is favored by those that meet for power breakfast, as well as weekend brunch, afternoon tea and cocktails. Hors d'oeuvres and spirits are also available.
