The Cincinnatian Hotel, first opened in 1882 and reborn 105 years later in 1987, has emerged as Cincinnati's premier hotel. The hotel's dramatic restoration blends European style and luxury with contemporary design and appointments. Its French Second Empire limestone exterior and original marble and walnut grand staircase have been retained, while the interior space has been refashioned with contemporary style and convenience.
An eight story atrium takes center stage where many of the guest rooms open to balconies. The lobby and public space is adorned with original art work--from neon sculpture, tapestry and quiltwork to graphics.
The Cricket Lounge is located on the main level below the skylite atrium. One of Cincinnati's most fashionable lounges, a light menu and afternoon tea is offered. Entertainment ranges from classical guitar during tea to piano during the evening.
The Cincinnatian Hotel boasts the elegant Palace Restaurant. Here guests and local society enjoy superb American cuisine, impeccable service and a most elegant atmosphere.
Luxury accommodations are provided in 147 guestrooms, each with a separate dressing room, sitting area, writing desk and mini-bar. The bathrooms feature Roman tubs or dual showers, terry robes, telephones, hairdryers and in-room safes.
A staff of 150--the equivalent of one staff member for every guestroom--makes personal service possible in all areas from arranging business or social functions to turning down the bed for a weary guest at the end of a busy day.
The Cincinnatian Hotel is centrally located, less than one black from Fountain Square in the center of Cincinnati's business district.
