Nestled in the Georgia mountains, guests of The Lodge will find the sounds of the city replaced by a soothing symphony of songbird calls, cascading water, and the rustle of wind-blown leaves. Located on a Heritage Preserve, The Lodge combines a wilderness setting with the comforts and rustic charm of a private mountain estate. Guestrooms are individually decorated and furnished, exuding mountain elegance. Rich fabrics, overstuffed lounge chairs and sofas, antique armoires, Oriental rugs, and wildlife and botanical prints create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, with a sitting area and desk, and have majestic views of the forested landscape and crystal clear streams. For a particularly private vacation, guests can stay in the secluded log cottage with full kitchen, king-size bed, wood stove, and outdoor hot tub.
With a focus on nature and the natural landscape, outdoor activities are plentiful at The Lodge. Each morning, a picnic basket full of scrumptious goodies arrives at each guest's doorstep as the perfect meal to take along on a day of hiking, biking, or fly-fishing on one of the best streams in the United States. Guests will enjoy a trip to nearby Alpine Village of Helen, Georgia for fabulous shopping and dining. In the evenings, guests can sit by the bonfire and listen to music and Appalachian folklore, and socialize at the Manager's Happy Hour on Friday and Saturday nights.
All meals at The Lodge are served family-style in the Dover Cottage, overlooking beautiful Duke's Creek. Dover Cottage offers indoor, fireside and outdoor dining at tables decorated with fresh flowers from the garden, where guests will enjoy fresh mountain trout and homemade ice cream with fresh fruit.
