Casa Morada is located on the bay in Islamorada, the jewel of the Florida Keys. Tucked away on a quiet side street, Casa Morada is an upscale sixteen suite hotel with the informal character of the Caribbean. Guests of Casa Morada enjoy the seclusion of a private tropical island but are only minutes away from some of the best dining and outdoor activities in the Florida Keys.
Stonehouse Development acquired the hotel in August of 2002 and renovated the property. Raymond Jungles, an award winning Key West Landscape Architect known for his lush natural landscapes, has transformed the entire property and added a variety of garden spaces, from intimate to group scale. In the center of the property, near the garden suites, a grotto has been created, sculpted from the native lime rock.
The highlight of the resort, Casa Morada's private island, has been transformed into a sandy playground. On the Island guests enjoy a spectacular waterside pool, a secluded cabana for lounging and a waterside terrace for breakfast, lunch and poolside beverage service.
All accommodations are suites with private terraces and gardens. Each suite has a stocked refrigerator, DVD/audio CD player, fresh orchids, private library, safe, hairdryer and robes.
Casa Morada is only a ninety minute drive from the Miami International Airport as well as from Key West. Guests of Casa Morada may also arrive to the hotel by boat.
