The Lodge at Koele has the ambiance of a worldly plantation-owner's residence. It is designed in the manner of a grand estate or country lodge, with heavy timbers, beamed ceilings and natural stone fireplaces. A large porch with lounging chairs provides a relaxing spot from which to view spectacular Hawaiian sunsets.

The heart of the Lodge is The Great Hall, appointed with comfortable, large-scale furnishings and unique art objects, paintings, sculptures and rare Pacific artifacts. Striking octagonal corner rooms offer the perfect place for the most care-worn traveler to retreat.

The guestrooms continue the plantation theme with carved four-poster beds, quilted pillows, colorful paintings by local artists, and carpets custom-made in radiant Hawaiian colors. The bathrooms feature Verde Issorie marble counter tops and floors in blue and white tiles.

For casual dining, the Terrace Dining Room overlooks the Lodge's Great Hall and outdoor gardens. The formal Dining Room is a fine dining area which features sophisticated cuisine, blending the best of Lanai's freshest ingredients with classic contemporary American and Pacific Rim techniques. A favorite dish here is the Lanai venison loin with Molokai sweet-potato puree. The Tea Room is a cozy area for drinks, hors d'oeuvres and music.

The Lanai Pine Sporting Clays is the only resort-based sporting clays course in Hawaii. The rustic 14-station course is situated within a 200-acre, pine-wooded valley overlooking Molokai. The course is designed to appeal to both skilled and new shooters alike. Guests may choose to participate in the different sporting games, or just stroll along paved walkways and enjoy the unmatched scenery.
