Built in 1899 and abandoned in 1974, the 36-room Montvale re-opened in January 2005 as both Spokane’s “oldest” and “newest” hotel.
This landmark hotel combines turn of the century architecture with unique furnishings and excellent service--providing guests a comfortable stay while honoring its colorful past. The long forgotten two-story atrium and balcony have been turned into an “urban lodge-like” space. Hotel rooms, lobby and atrium all have free high-speed wireless and network connectivity. Two state-of-the-art conference rooms are available with drop down screens and projectors. Many of the Montvale’s suites include flat panel LCD televisions, jetted tubs and fireplaces.
