Built between 1767 and 1775, the Royal Crescent has been renovated many times over the years. Today it stands as one of the finest European examples of Grade One listed Georgian architecture, with a reputation for excellence, which matches its setting and decor and is recognized as one of the finest hotels in the UK. In fact, Zagat voted it one of the top 100 hotels in the world.
All rooms and suites are furnished with infinite care for authentic details. Each of the suites is named after the famous men and women who at some time have resided in the Royal Crescent or within Bath. There are three classes of suites. The Master Suites are the ultimate in luxury, each with its own unique features such as a real open fire, drawing rooms with original Georgian plasterwork ceilings or a private conservatory drawing room, opening onto the landscaped gardens.
Pimpernel's is situated in the Dower House of The Royal Crescent Hotel. It is a relaxing, elegant place to enjoy fine food and wine. During the last two years, the innovative cuisine and the architectural setting of this award-winning restaurant has become nationally recognized. The delicate flavours of Roast Monkfish with Tempura Mussels vie with the more rounded flavours of Tender Honeyed Duckling with Confit and Choi Sum. To finish, the signature dessert remains a towering Banana Souffle with Caramel Ice Cream.
The Bath House opened in 1998 and guests quickly made a visit to this serene spa, an essential part of their visit to the fascinating Roman spa town of Bath. Created from the original coach house, The Bath House has a light and timeless atmosphere enhanced by the creative use of wood, bamboo, stone and water throughout. The Bath House offers a holistic approach to beauty and well-being, combining treatments and therapies which together make this one of the great European Spas of today. There is a 17 piece gym and studio for pilates, yoga and Tai Chi.
