The land of Tongsai Bay is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in Thailand. The cottages were built around the beauty and kept as much of what Mother Nature gave them as possible. Their philosophy is "living in harmony with nature".
In order to appreciate nature, guests need to be in open space; not just watching from inside an air conditioned box. The concept of great outdoor living then followed. There are spacious outdoor spaces for all suites and villas all overlooking the sea. First you can start with the bathtub on the balcony for bathing with a seaview. Then you can eat, take a bath with a view, and even sunbathe and sleep (mosquito netting provided) all in open space while you are safe with the knowledge that you only have to step inside for air-condition and cover if it is too hot or if it rains.
If that isn't enough, there is Prana Spa which consists of 3 private cottages with a unique relaxation techniques combined with a variety of original herbal recipes that help relieve stress. The massages offer their own effective but harmless techniques that combine the traditional Thai massage with the scientific study of the human body.
If you never want to leave your suite, room service is available all day. But do venture out, because the restaurants are superb. Chef Chom's Thai Restaurant by the Lobby offers spectacular views out over the bay with an International Breakfast Buffet and Thai dinner. Po-Lad Beach Bistro on the Beach offers open-air international cuisine for lunch and dinner. The Butler's Restaurant on the hillside just a few minutes walk from the Grand Villas, specializes in Pan-Asian and European food with a menu created seasonal.
This resort has thought of everything to renew and restore your mind, body and soul. You may never want to go home. |
