The stately Sea View Hotel is set amidst lush gardens, rimming the shores of Bantry Bay, and when guests enter, they are gently lulled into another time. Set in well-tended gardens, it has cozy lounges with turf fires and comfortable, pleasantly decorated bedrooms.

The 25 spacious bedrooms are individually decorated, those at the front of the house having views of Bantry Bay through the trees. If guests are looking for extra-roomy accommodations, request one of the very reasonably priced family rooms with two bathrooms. All bedrooms are ensuite and include direct-dial telephone and TV. A new wing of bedrooms has just been added to the Hotel. These 9 rooms and suites are large with seafacing views and king sized beds.

The sitting room décor is pleasant and with shades of green and rust and light oak furniture. There are plenty of places to sit and, for those in search of peace and quiet, there is library/tv room.

The hotel caters to the fishing and golfing enthusiast and is also a good touring base for West Cork and Kerry. Explore the most beautiful parts of Ireland, from beautiful Killarney, in County Kerry to the North, to Kinsale a little further south. And don't miss Glengarriff and the world famous Garinish Island, where seals bask on the rocks with their pups. Other fun activities include watersports, cycling, golf, painting, horseback riding, and hiking.

The restaurant has won numerous awards including the AA Rosettes and Bord Failte Awards of Excellence. Along with lunch and dinner, morning coffee and afternoon tea are available. Although seafood is their specialty, vegetarian meals are available upon request. A new conservatory has been added to the Dining Room offering even more seating for the fabulous restaurant.

There is nowhere better to sample Irish hospitality than at this delightful country house.
