Welcome to the special world of Rum Point Inn, located 60 miles south of Belize City on the Placencia Peninsula with the best beaches in Belize. Rum Point Inn, where personalized service is the rule and the unique ambiance is famous. Guests will be cosseted in a spacious exotic setting nestled in their own oases.
There are 10 beachfront cabañas and 12 air-conditioned suites with a unique panache that enhances guests' visits. Each spacious room, with either a king or two queen beds and sofa, enjoys a private bath, ceiling fan, personal safe, coffeemaker, refrigerator, and interior garden. Each is furnished with locally designed and crafted Belizean hardwood furniture, local art, and Guatemalan fabrics especially created for Rum Point Inn.
Rum Point Inn amenities are numerous and include a new swimming pool, bicycles, kayaks, snorkel gear, Hobie Cat and Sunfish boats, a sailing dinghy, and a self guided Nature Trail. Snorkel and dive instruction can be arranged through the dive shop, Rum Point Divers. Explore the many cayes and reefs of southern Belize on AURIGA II, the premier dive boat of Rum Point Inn's marina. Many other tours are available including visits to the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, the world's only jaguar preserve, a boat trip up the Monkey River to see birds, iguanas, and Howler monkeys, or a journey to the Maya Ruins of Southern Belize.
The Dining Room is open to Rum Point guests and the general public for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is a set price for each meal. Every effort is made in order to provide the freshest food available. All baked goods and pastries are baked on the premises. For Dinner there is a menu which is changed weekly plus Specials of the Day which are posted in the Dining Room on large blackboards. Choices can be made from both and interchanged without extra charge. The menus include soups, salads, vegetables, and a choice of seafood or meat entree, dessert and choice of coffee or tea. There is a wide selection of wines available. If a guest has special dietary requirements, modified meals can be arranged in advance through the front office.
