Located on Vancouver Island's magnificently rugged West Coast, the Wickaninnish Inn is minutes from the picturesque township of Tofino. At the gateway to Pacific Rim National Park Reserve and the renowned beauty of Clayoquot Sound, the Inn is situated on a rocky promontory at the western most point of Chesterman Beach.

The first thing guests notice as they enter every one of the 75 spacious guestrooms and suites is the awe inspiring ocean and beach to ocean views, revealed by floor to ceiling picture windows. In keeping with the Inn's commitment to the environment, the furniture has been fashioned from recycled old growth fir, western red cedar and driftwood. The textures found in nature are reflected in the wool sisal carpet, natural stone tile and rough hewn cedar mantelpieces. Custom made armoires and desks, while rustic in appearance, are finished with top quality hand forged hardware. Completing the collection, each room features a handmade driftwood chair, individually numbered by the artist, Maxwell Newhouse.

As guests explore their rooms, they'll discover that every need has been anticipated--from the interesting book collection, binoculars, private bar, CD clock radio, writing desk, microwave, coffee maker, to the large screen television in the armoire, and a down duvet on the king or queen-sized bed. Enjoy a hot bath in the oversized soaker tub enhanced by aromatherapy bath salts. Relax, in comfortable armchairs, by the fireplace in terry bathrobes to read a good book or simply watch nature unfold outside the window.

Tofino is an intriguing mix of wide sandy beaches and old growth forests, fishing boats and whale-watching zodiacs, loggers and surfers, casual eateries and eclectic fine dining.

The award-winning Pointe Restaurant and Chefs John Waller and Nicholas Nutting showcase fresh coastal foods and farm-fresh ingredients. Savor the Foie Gras & Portobello Mushroom Stuffed Pheasant Breast with a Yam & Sun-dried Cherry Ratatouille. And for dessert, splurge with the White Chocolate & Basil Pyramid with Mandarin Caramel Sauce. Delicious!

For those seeking paradise, look no further than the Wickaninnish Inn.
