The ultimate hideaway on the famous seven-mile Negril Beach, the Charela Inn is an oasis of peace and tranquility built around its lush inner tropical garden. Guests will be enraptured from the moment they enter the wood-paneled lounge with its marble tiles and tropical floral prints.
Charela is an intimate, friendly Inn with only 47 rooms, enabling the staff to cater to each guest's individual wishes. Three of these rooms are specially fitted for the comfort of physically challenged persons, with easy access to the entire property including the swimming pool and the beach. Decorated in vibrant greens with beige granite tiles, each room has two doubles, one queen, or one king-sized four-poster bed covered with cozy blankets and plush pillows. Telephone with direct dialing and digiport connections for PCs, CD players in the Deluxe and Seaview rooms and radio only in the Standard rooms. There is also a hairdryer, in room safe, cable TV, small refrigerator, air conditioning and ceiling fan in all our rooms.
All rooms have a patio or balcony offering either a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea (sea front rooms)or views of the lush tropical garden with its central round fresh water swimming pool.
Guests will enjoy a dip in the cool water encircled by lush green foliage! A stroll along the white sandy shore at sunset is a romantic experience not easily forgotten.
There is entertainment two nights a week: Thursday nights Jazz and Blues Cabaret and Folkloric dance on Saturday nights.
The Inn's "Le Vendome Restaurant" delights diners with the flair of French cuisine combined with a blend of Jamaican spices. Open arches surround the festively decorated, cloth-covered tables, allowing the fresh breeze to waft over the guests. Tiffany cut-glass lamps, floral arrangements, and the fountain in the middle of the restaurant complement the building's beauty. Guests will enjoy menu items like Canard a l'Orange, seafood crepes, and heavenly eclairs for dessert; the gourmet pizzas are not to be missed. Many of the products served come from the owner's farm, ensuring guests that no additives or colorings are added to the food.
