The 119 guestrooms and suites at the 5 star Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver range in size from 42 square metres (450 square feet) to 130 square metres (1,395 square feet); half of these luxurious suites have balconies overlooking downtown Vancouver.
All rooms are decorated in a contemporary style with distinct Asian touches. Warm latte tones are enriched by golden hues and offset by darker wood paneling and sleek chocolate-coloured B&B Italia furniture. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the guestrooms and bathrooms with natural light. Curtains, sheers and lighting can be adjusted using beside controls, and sheers will automatically close to keep unoccupied rooms energy efficient and temperate. In the 14-square-metre (150-square-foot) bathrooms - the largest in Vancouver - remote-controlled "silent" Lutron blinds provide additional privacy. A walk-in shower with three separate showerheads (wall-mounted, rain and handheld) stands apart from the tub, and a television is either mounted by the bathroom mirror or embedded within it.
